Chronic Wounds

If you have a wound that has not begun to heal in two weeks or has not completely healed in four to six weeks, it’s chronic. These wounds can develop as a result of complications from diabetes, cancer, burns, infections or other conditions such as vasculitis.

Wound Care Treatments

Acute or chronic conditions can often be prevented with early, advanced wound care intervention. We offer a wide range of advanced treatments, including:

  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)
  • Advanced dressings
  • Synthetic skin substitutes
  • Surgical debriding

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

During HBOT treatments, patients lie in a pressurized chamber where they breathe 100 percent oxygen. The increased level of oxygen enters the blood and body tissues throughout the body, helping wounds heal quicker.

If you have any of these conditions or chronic wounds, you may benefit from using HBOT:

  • Arterial and pressure ulcers
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Non-healing wounds
  • Trauma injuries
