Heart Attack Care

If you or someone around you experiences any of these symptoms, call 911 immediately. By acting early you can increase the chance of a positive outcome.

  • Discomfort or pain in the chest
  • Trouble breathing or shortness of breath
  • Weakness or pain in the shoulder or arm
  • Nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain
  • Back or jaw pain
  • Lightheadedness or feeling faint

Emergency Room or Urgent Care?

You have many options for care, so it’s important to know which one you should choose for each situation. If you feel your life is at risk, call 911 immediately or go to the nearest ER. But for less serious issues, urgent care may be the right choice. If you have a condition that is not life threatening, such as a minor cut or burn, flu symptoms, ear infection or sprain, visit an urgent care center. But for more serious medical emergencies like chest pain, head trauma or stroke, call 911 or go to the closest ER.
