March 9, 2011

Rancho Springs Medical Center New Women's Center Delivers First BabyAt 3:55 p.m. PST on Tuesday, March 8, Suzauna Ramirez of Murrieta gave birth to her first child in the new Women's Center at Rancho Springs Medical Center. The 7 lb., 12 oz. baby girl, Isabella Sparks, was welcomed by a total of 10 family members, including the proud father, Darold Sparks. The spacious labor and delivery rooms in the newly opened area allowed multiple family members to be present for the family's new addition.

Suzauna is an employee of Southwest Healthcare System and works as a PBX operator at Rancho Springs. She was aware the Women's Center was opening on March 8, which coincidentally was her due date for Isabella. When asked about her experience at Rancho Springs, she stated, "I have always had a good experience here, even before I was an employee everyone was always so nice to me."

The Women's Services expansion opened officially at 9:20 a.m. PST on March 8. This expansion is the first phase of two, and includes seven labor and delivery rooms, 14 post partum rooms, two maternity triage rooms, two surgical suites, and two Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) bays.
